Come along to our workshop and make a “bee”autiful home for our bumblebee friends and a bug mug home to hide in your garden ready for the insects to get ready to sleep over winter. Then let’s head out on an expedition to find which insects live around Tynwald Mills and learn a bit more about our wonderful Manx Wildlife. Join the Manx Wildlife Trust’s Education Officer Dawn Colley and find out how bees keep their nests clean and how fearsome some of our beetle larvae can be! This is a fantastic summer activity and a great way to help wildlife in your garden.
Suitable for 5-14 year olds, price includes materials to make a bee home and a bug mug plus a leaflet with incredible insect facts in. Please note all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please wear old clothes as it will involve mud at some point and definitely glue and paint!
There will be two session run during the day 10.30-12.00 and 14.00-15.30.
£5 per child per session
